Harry Hutson helps executives view their businesses systemically from a people and organization perspective, and then ensures results. He brings added value by sorting through complex human resources issues and working to deliver high quality, cost effective solutions.
His clients range from high tech startups, to medium size firms needing senior HR experience on an interim basis, to large corporations requiring focused expertise. Harry's hands-on contributions include strategic planning and coaching, organization and team development including group facilitation, executive succession and search.
His internal experience includes 21 years as human resources vice president and generalist with multinational corporations: Cummins Engine Company, Avery Dennison, and Global Knowledge Network. Harry brings a true understanding of business objectives, and a firm belief that a company's greatest asset is the intelligence, creativity and drive of its employees.
With a new CEO of $1B multinational, he designed and led a strategic planning event that set the stage for five years of success. With the COO and VPHR of a $3B corporation, he initiated and orchestrated their seminal Leadership Development Forum. With the COO of a high tech firm based in Europe, he delivered results in executive recruitment and teamwork prior to going public. And for a fast growing pre-IPO software firm, he developed and instituted basic people infrastructure while serving as part-time, acting VPHR.
Harry is active as a conference presenter and author. He co-authored "Utilizing States of Organizational Readiness," for the Organization Development Network's Organizational Practitioner, which won an award for best article published over a two-year period. He is a member of the Entrepreneurial Roundtable of the Seed Fund, Vice-Chair of the New England Center for Children, and a partner in Options for Change.
