John Oltman, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Seurat Company,
brings a 25-year track record of executive leadership for high-growth
outsourcing, software, and business solutions companies to
Seurat. Oltman is known throughout the industry for his ability to
grow revenues and build shareholder value through disciplined
operations, especially during tough economic environments. He proved
this as chairman and chief executive officer of SHL Systemhouse, a
$1.2 billion provider of client/server systems integration and
technology-outsourcing services. Taking the reins in 1991 in the midst
of a recession, Oltman quadrupled services revenue within four years,
increased the contracted backlog of business from $125 million to over
$2.5 billion, and led the company to its highest level of
profitability. During this period, SHL Systemhouse's market
capitalization grew tenfold. Starting as a little-known Canadian
company, SHL Systemhouse became a recognized global market leader
during Oltman's tenure and merged with MCI in 1995 to form a
technology-outsourcing powerhouse. Prior to his tenure at SHL
Systemhouse, Oltman held numerous positions as a senior partner with
Accenture, including managing the firm's global systems integration
and outsourcing business. During recent years, Oltman has been an
advisor, board member, investor and active participant in the
operations of leading technology companies including Exult, Lante, and
Evolve Software. Also, from 1996 to 1997, Oltman served as executive
chairman of TSW International, Inc., a global leader in asset care
software and services. In 1997, TSW merged with Indus International in
exchange for public equity and market value of $300 million. Oltman
holds a B.S. degree from the University of Illinois and an
M.B.A. degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of
Management.
