The Seed Fund has a unique structure. It consists of a General Partner and Board of Advisors plus a network of entrepreneurs, investors and experts called the Entrepreneurial Roundtable (The "ERT"). The ERT was formed in order to provide a "council" for start-up and early stage companies, a pool of management talent and advisors, a feed-back mechanism for entrepreneurs and an extended network that could assist young companies in establishing and building customer and business relationships. In this regard, the ERT was designed with similar intentions of an Angel network. However, while Angel networks are typically managed on an ad hoc basis, the ERT is organized and highly incentivized to provide support to the fund and to portfolio companies. In addition, unlike Angel networks, The Seed Fund has a General Partner that provides continuity to portfolio companies from the first round of funding up to the mezzanine round.
